INTERACTIVE TOOL FOR THE WIN

Ashton Woods took home gold at the 37th Annual OBIE Awards in Atlanta on Nov. 11, 2017 for Best Interactive Tool Builder/Developer. The customized Sales Center Presentation was created by MediaLab for Aria, Ashton Woods’ new live, work and play community in Sandy Springs. Requiring no internet access at all, the tool provides detailed information about the Aria community and can track favorite features of the user.

“Aria offers a unique lifestyle. If you look at the interactive map in the sales center you can easily see mixed-use homes surrounded by a neighborhood of retail shops, restaurants and parks,” says Project Manager Jonathan Rivera. “From design to finished product, we were able to complete the project at an accelerated timeline for the community opening.”

MediaLab’s development team worked directly with the Ashton Woods team to handcraft a custom design and workflow and ensure the experience steered away from what other people were doing. This included a minimalist design with a customized user experience allowing the Aria home and community imagery to take center stage and tell the story.

According to Account Executive Lauren Powell, “Ashton Woods is known for their design and personalization, so our goal was to create a presentation that reflects the same level of detail they put into their homes.”

The 3D renderings and a majority of the visuals throughout the interactive presentation were also created by MediaLab, highlighting Aria’s English Arts and Crafts architecture set within a natural environment, amidst all of the conveniences of the city.

THE OBIE AWARDS

The OBIE Awards, named after the obelisk shape of the actual award given, are the premier awards in the new home construction industry.
