When somebody joins the MediaLab family, we want to make sure they feel right at home from the get-go. That’s why we started MediaLab Connect. This mentorship program pairs new employees up with existing team members. First impressions can set the tone for their career here so we want to make sure it’s as positive as possible. What’s more positive than a pizza lunch and meeting some cool people? Really please answer us. We’re stumped…

HOWDY, PARTNER

OK… so… we may be in this for other reasons too! New employees benefit, but honestly, so do we! Our mentorship program was also developed to give existing employees a sense of ownership over our culture. It’s the perfect way for our team to show their “Lab Partners” the tips and tricks. By pairing those who might not typically work together on a daily basis, we get the opportunity to build stronger relationships across departments too.

PLUG IT IN PLUG IT IN

All new employees have a Lab Partner AND multiple “Plugins” – people that they should schedule lunch or a quick cup of coffee with. With less emphasis on mentorship, this is more of an opportunity to answer basic questions and socialize.
