“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.”

This quote from Albert Einstein is one we couldn’t agree with more – especially when it comes to learning. That’s why one of our major 2018 initiatives is to establish a strong training foundation for our employees.

With that being said… we’re proud to introduce MediaLab University! The MediaLab U program will serve two main purposes: institute a formal training week for all new employees and offer professional development courses for our team.

We’ve always been diligent about making new employees feel welcome. Providing them with the proper training in order to make them successful within their new position is essential, but we wanted to take it a step further.

We’re a family here, and we feel it’s important everyone start on the same page. That’s why we’ve brought on a Corporate Trainer and developed a first-week training course that every new employee now goes through.

This is beneficial twofold: first, all new team members start with the same knowledge base of who MediaLab is and how we operate (regardless of position or department). This fosters an environment of continuity and cooperation. Second, the Corporate Trainer becomes a confidant – someone new employees can always rely on any time questions arise.

As part of MediaLab U, we’ll also be launching training initiatives for current employees. These will come in the form of professional development tutorials and classroom sessions. Topics will include anything from project management, writing, and customer service to interior design, coding, and programming. In addition to all of this, MediaLab will be providing additional training on the builder and consumer products industries so that our team will have an even stronger understanding of the world in which many of our clients operate.

The mantra “never stop learning” has been put into action with MediaLab U and we’re already seeing benefits for employees and clients alike. We can’t wait to see things get even better from here!
